Nigeria’s Super Eagles will face Russia in an international friendly on Tuesday, October 6, with the kick-off time and ticket prices now confirmed.
The match will be played at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium in Russia and will start at 8:00pm local time.
As for fans watching from Nigeria, the game will kick off at 6:00pm Nigerian time.
Tickets for the encounter are already on sale through Yandex Afisha, the official ticketing partner of the Russian Football Union.
Prices start from 500 Russian rubles, which is approximately ₦8,000 based on the reported conversion.
The match will be the second meeting between Nigeria and Russia. Their first encounter took place in Moscow in June 2025 and ended in a 1-1 draw.
Russia took the lead through a first half own goal from Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi before Tolu Arokodare came off the bench to equalise for Nigeria.
Eric Chelle’s team will enter the October friendly after their opening two matches in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Nigeria are scheduled to host Madagascar on September 25 before travelling to Guinea Bissau for the second qualifying fixture on September 29.
The Russia game will therefore give Chelle another opportunity to assess his squad and test some of his options against international opposition.
Russia will also have a busy schedule before facing Nigeria, with matches against Iran on September 29 and Namibia on October 3.
The Super Eagles’ October trip will bring them back to Russia just over a year after their previous meeting in Moscow.
With the kick-off time now confirmed and tickets available, Nigerian fans have clear details ahead of the highly anticipated friendly.
