Super Eagles defender,  Bright Osayi-Samuel shook off a rough international break on Saturday.

The  defender was Birmingham City’s best player in a 1-0 win away at West Brom, and he walked off with the Man of the Match award.

In the 41st minute, August Priske settled it from the penalty. After that, Birmingham defended the lead, and Osayi-Samuel was at the center of it.

The right-back played the full 90 minutes and kept West Brom’s attackers quiet. Match data credits him with 11 recoveries, three clearances and six defensive contributions.

The win was Birmingham’s fourth away victory in the Championship this season. It lifts them to seventh on 14 points, six behind leaders Swansea City. Birmingham carry the momentum into their next Championship fixture.
