Moses Usor was involved in the opening goal as LASK thrashed Slovan Bratislava 4-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday night. The Super Eagles forward started the game in Linz and played a big part in a comfortable home win.
Importantly, it was LASK’s second straight win in the league phase. As a result, the Austrian champions now look like a team with real belief on the European stage.
LASK took control early, and Usor was at the centre of it. He had already forced goalkeeper Aleksandar Popovic into a save with a low, angled shot before the breakthrough came.
Then came the goal. Usor swung in a corner in the 19th minute, and Kasper Jorgensen met it with a header to put the hosts ahead.
After that, Slovan struggled to cope. Jorgensen added his second in the 37th minute, and LASK were firmly in charge.

LASK went in at the break 3-0 up. Robert Ljubicic had scored, and the hosts barely let up after that.
Samuel Adeniran, Usor’s strike partner on the night, wrapped up the scoring to make it 4-0. Furthermore, LASK kept a clean sheet in what was the first meeting between the two clubs.
Usor, meanwhile, was still hungry for his own goal. He sent an effort narrowly wide from the edge of the area in the 34th minute. Then in the 62nd minute, Popovic denied him again.
He was substituted in the 75th minute, with Christoph Lang replacing him after a busy night’s work.

The win lifts LASK to six points from four matches. Notably, that tally comes from back-to-back victories, after their 3-2 win away at Sporting in the previous round.
He was part of the LASK side that won the Austrian Cup last term, and he has kept producing at the start of this campaign.
LASK’s focus now shifts to the Austrian Bundesliga. They travel to Ried on Saturday, November 7.
After that, the Champions League returns, and Usor will hope to keep adding goals and assists to his European record.
