Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo has emerged as a potential transfer target for Rangers following his departure from Southampton.
The Nigeria international is currently a free agent after leaving Southampton at the end of his contract, bringing the curtain down on a four-year spell at St Mary’s Stadium.

Aribo joined the Saints from Rangers in a £10 million move in 2022 after enjoying a highly successful stint in Glasgow. During his time with the Scottish giants, he established himself as one of the club’s most influential players, winning the Scottish Premiership title and the Scottish Cup.
According to reports in Scotland, Rangers are exploring the possibility of bringing the versatile midfielder back to Ibrox as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
The 29-year-old endured a frustrating final campaign at Southampton, struggling for regular minutes before securing a loan move to Leicester City in January. However, opportunities remained limited at the King Power Stadium, where he made just six appearances.

Despite his recent challenges, Aribo remains a popular figure among Rangers supporters, largely due to his impressive contributions during his first spell at the club. One of the defining moments of his Rangers career came in the 2022 UEFA Europa League final, where he scored against Eintracht Frankfurt, although the Scottish side eventually lost on penalties.
A return to Rangers could offer Aribo the opportunity to revive his career and rediscover the form that made him one of the most admired midfielders in Scottish football.
