Turkish Super Lig giants Beşiktaş are reportedly weighing up the futures of Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi and Nigeria-eligible defender Felix Uduokhai as the club prepares for a major squad shake-up ahead of the 2026/27 season.
According to reports from Turkey, new manager Vincenzo Italiano is keen to restructure his squad, with foreign player regulations emerging as a key factor behind several difficult decisions at the Istanbul club.
Ndidi, who joined Beşiktaş from Leicester City in the summer of 2025, quickly became one of the team’s most influential figures. The Nigerian midfielder impressed with his leadership qualities, defensive solidity, and consistency in the heart of midfield, making him a fan favourite during his first campaign in Turkey.
However, despite his importance to the squad, the 29-year-old is now among a group of foreign players whose futures are under review as Beşiktaş attempt to create room within the league’s player quota limits and reduce overall squad costs.
Felix Uduokhai, the Germany-born defender who remains eligible to represent Nigeria internationally, is also believed to be facing an uncertain future at the club as management evaluates options ahead of the new season.
