Nigerian youngster Dotun Lamidi has signed his first professional contract with Crystal Palace, the Premier League club has confirmed.
Lamidi, who turns 18 in October, joined Palace from Watford last summer and initially signed a scholarship deal with the South London club.
The left-sided player impressed during his first season with the Eagles’ academy, making 16 appearances for the Under-18 side and providing one assist.
Crystal Palace describe Lamidi as a dynamic left-sided player capable of operating both as a winger and a wide defender.

Lamidi was part of the Palace Under-18 team that reached the FA Youth Cup semi-finals and won the club’s first-ever Under-18 Premier League Cup.
His progress also saw him included in the Under-21 matchday squad for a Premier League 2 fixture against Nottingham Forest towards the end of last season.
Reacting to his first professional contract, Lamidi expressed his delight at the opportunity and pledged to continue working hard.
The new deal represents an important step in the teenager’s development as he looks to establish himself within Crystal Palace’s senior setup.
His progress will also be closely monitored in Nigeria because of his eligibility to represent the country at international level.
