Spanish club Sevilla have placed a €15 million asking price on Nigerian striker Akor Adams as newly promoted Serie A side Venezia intensify their pursuit of the Super Eagles forward ahead of the new season.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Venezia have already reached an agreement on personal terms with Adams and are now negotiating with Sevilla in a bid to complete the transfer.

The 26-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 campaign in Spain, registering 10 goals and three assists in 32 La Liga appearances. His performances made him one of Sevilla’s brightest attacking players despite the club enduring a challenging season.

Adams joined Sevilla from French side Montpellier in January 2025 for a reported €5 million and still has three years remaining on his contract, which runs until the summer of 2029.

A switch to Venezia would offer the Nigerian another fresh challenge, with Italy set to become the third of Europe’s top five leagues where he has played, following previous spells in France and Spain.

Sevilla are willing to part ways with the former Flying Eagles striker, but only if Venezia meet their €15 million valuation. The Andalusian club have also granted Adams permission to hold talks with the Italian outfit while negotiations between both clubs continue.

If the deal goes through, Sevilla would make a significant profit on a player they signed just over a year ago, while Venezia would secure an experienced striker as they prepare for life back in the Italian top flight.

The move could present another opportunity to continue his development in one of Europe’s most tactical leagues while boosting his chances of cementing a regular place in the Super Eagles squad ahead of future international competitions.
