NPFL side Kun Khalifat FC is taking its branding to another level with the upcoming launch of a dedicated sportswear shop where fans can purchase merchandise branded with the club’s logo.
The club announced the development on its official X account, revealing that the new outlet, named KKFC Arina, will serve as a one-stop destination for everything related to the team.
Announcement Details
“Ndi imo KKFC ARINA is coming. A place where you can get everything about KKFC,” the club wrote in the post, addressing the people of Imo State directly in Igbo. The announcement included images showcasing a sleek retail space displaying jerseys, polo shirts, and other sportswear items branded with the Kun Khalifat FC logo alongside displays referencing global clubs like Real Madrid, Juventus, and Arsenal.
The store will be located at Otunbadi Plaza, opposite Imo State University’s main gate, placing it within easy reach of students, staff, and football fans across the Owerri metropolis.
A Growing Brand

The images shared by the club depict a modern shopping outlet with mannequins dressed in various KKFC-branded kits, including home and away jerseys in the club’s signature red and black colours, polo shirts, and training wear. The setup suggests the club is positioning its retail presence alongside some of the world’s biggest football brands.

The move represents another milestone for the Owerri-based club, nicknamed The Pride of Imo, as they continue building their commercial footprint following their historic promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Club Background
Kun Khalifat FC was founded in 2020 by Michael Chukwudi Amaefule and has enjoyed a rapid rise through Nigerian football’s lower divisions. The club secured promotion to the NPFL for the first time after defeating Osun United FC 2-1 in the Nigeria National League Super 8 playoffs in July 2025.
Since gaining their top-flight status, Kun Khalifat have played their home matches at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, kicking off their maiden NPFL campaign against Enugu Rangers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.
Setting a New Standard

Branded merchandise shops remain relatively uncommon among NPFL clubs, making this move notable within Nigerian domestic football. Most clubs in the league rely on matchday sales or informal vendors rather than dedicated retail outlets for official merchandise.
The opening of KKFC Arina offers a permanent physical space to access official gear locally, potentially strengthening the bond between the club and its growing supporter base in Imo State while setting a new benchmark for commercial operations in Nigerian football.
