NFF might Sack Finidi George after meeting the Minister of Sports

After Drawing at home to South Africa and the Disappointing defeat at Benin Republic, The Nigeria Minister of Sport summoned the NFF, asking for a report.

The Meeting between the Minister for Sports and the NFF took place today.

According to OwnGoalnigeria, The minister of Sports Senator John Enoh has Approved the request by the NFF to hire a new foreign Head Coach for the Super Eagles.

The meeting which reportedly lasted for more than three hours yield an Agreement between the Ministry of Sports and the NFF to Overhaul the Super Eagles Technical Crew.

The Current Super Eagles Coach Finidi George was told he will have to step aside for the Potential Coach who is likely to a Foreign Coach.

He has also been given the opportunity to work under the incoming Coach in a different role or face getting the sack less than two months into the One year contract he signed.

Also considering that the NFF has a Performance clause in this contract allowing them to terminate his contract and the Results from the last two game so far as certainly given them that power.

While Speaking to the Media the NFF President Ibrahim Gusau said the Federation will do anything in it’s power to make sure the Super Eagles are in a good position to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

NFF President Speaking to the Media

The Current Super Eagles Coach Finidi George was also seen looking disappointed after the meeting, as it’s yet to be seen if he’ll accept to work in a new role under the new foreign manager or Step down from the technical crew completely.
