Henry Onyekuru has become a free agent after his contract with Saudi Arabian club Al-Fayha expired at the end of June.

The Nigerian winger is not in a hurry to sign with a new club and is currently considering several offers. Among them, Antalyaspor have opened formal negotiations and are reported to be keen to secure his signature. If an agreement is reached, the club plans to send a private jet to bring Onyekuru to Turkey for medical tests and contract signing.

Earlier this summer, Onyekuru rejected offers from Istanbul Başakşehir and Kocaelispor because of disagreements over salary terms. Besiktas were also linked with the player, but the club later denied any formal interest.

Onyekuru has a strong record in Turkey, having won the league and cup double with Galatasaray in the 2018–19 season, when he scored 14 league goals. He also played for Adana Demirspor in the 2022–23 season, contributing six goals in the league.

For now, he is taking time to assess his options before deciding where to continue his career.
